Dry Fork of Coyote Gulch is one of the most visited canyons of the Escalante, it is also the entrance to three other exciting slot canyons, Peekaboo, Spooky and Brimstone Gulch. While not really a slot canyon it is still rather narrow and offers an easy hike through a 0.6 mile long shaded sandstone canyon.
Directions
When starting in Escalante, follow the Hole In The Rock road for about 26 miles and then turn left into another dirt road, keep left until you reach the end of the road. From the trailhead (37.476243,-111.220161) the well marked trail descends through several layers of slickrock and arrives at the Dry Fork Wash, a major drainage for the area. At this point you may either go upstream (north, west) into Dry Fork (37.481465,-111.218013) or downstream (south, east), direction Coyote, Peekaboo, Spooky, and Brimstone Gulch.
The location map in this article shows the trailhead described above, please follow this link for more details.
