Elephant Hill is one of the most challenging 4WD tracks of the whole park, if you don’t have a vehicle built for such a challenge, stay away from it. But you can still walk up the hill and enjoy some beautiful red-rock formations along the way.
Directions
Starting at the Needles visitor center, continue on 211 for about 3 miles until you reach the intersection with Beef Basin Road. Turn left and follow the road for just about 300 yards, then turn right towards Squaw Flat. Elephant Hill Road starts directly ahead of you.
