The viewpoint is just around the corner from Bryce Point and is off that same road. Here you can get a clear picture of that Bryce Canyon is not really a canyon but has been carved out of the eastern part of Paunsaugunt Plateau. Looking northeast and east, you can see the Aquarius Plateau in the background, which forms the northeastern boundary or shore of the former huge lake, which was the historic origin of Bryce Canyon.
