Past the park entrance, the road climbs up a steep cliff with several sharp switchbacks – once you have reached the top of the cliff, this is the first interesting section of the park. You may drive directly to the Courthouse Towers viewpoint or stop at the Park Avenue parking area and walk through a spectacular canyon down to Courthouse Towers.
The trail, called the Park Avenue, is 1 mile long in one direction. Either have somebody of your group driving to Courthouse Towers to pick you up or be prepared to walk back to your car another mile.
Directions
Just follow the main park road up the cliff, the parking for Park Avenue is about 2 miles after the visitor center to your left. If you continue, the parking for Courthouse Towers is another mile down the road.
