Devil's Golf Course is an area of salty mud in the southern part of Death Valley, located between Badwater and Furnace Creek. In this area, the usually rather smooth salt flat grows into a bizarre, amazing array of shapes. The surface is sharp and very uneven, with hollows and pinnacles up to a foot in size. It is possible to walk in this area, but be careful, the salt crystals are extremely sharp and the surface very treacherous.
Directions
If you enter Death Valley from the South, just continue on Badwater Road (about 44 miles from the entrance). If you enter from the East, turn left onto Badwater Road at Furnace Creek Inn and continue for about 11 miles until you reach Devils' Golf Course.
